Managing Water
by Erik Kelly, Solwezi, Zambia
Some communities have no water management. This affects the quality of water and, consequently, the health of the people in those villages. Women's groups often manage water supplies, and this seems to be a very good system. Some elect "well water" committees, chairwomen, or chiefs.
