Spotlight on World Thinking Day & Jordan

World Thinking Day, February 22, gives students the opportunity to celebrate international friendships. The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts promotes World Thinking Day as a time to "think globally, act locally." We have also included a couple of pieces from Jordan.

World Thinking Day Resources

  • Suggested World Thinking Day Activities (pdf–554 KB)—Exercises to foster discussion of global issues and to encourage action.
  • Country Guides (pdf–236 KB)—Resources for further study on the Czech Republic, Lebanon, Mexico, Rwanda, and Sri Lanka.
  • World Thinking Day—The official site for World Thinking Day.
  • Speakers Match—Celebrate World Thinking Day by bringing a returned Peace Corps Volunteer into your classroom to share his or her experience with your students.
